We don't have to be alone anymore. The world may not seem so hostile now; we are no longer lost, frightened and purposeless. Prayer and meditation have brought a Higher Power into our daily affairs. Step 12. Having had a spiritual awakening as the result of these steps, we tried to carry this message to those who still suffer from Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. and to practice these principles in all our affairs. Here we are given a chance to bring the message of recovery to those who still live in the lonely prison of OCD.

Others of us grew up in environments where the ''fear of life" was taught early on. We were led to believe that the world was an entirely dangerous place and that we had to watch our every move. By reviewing our fears thoroughly and putting them on paper we expose them for what they are. We use the same chart as we did for our resentments, listing also the causes and effects of our fears. We meet those fears with faith once we look to a Higher Power and the fellowship for guidance. Sex is sometimes very troublesome but can be dealt with as any other life situation.

We have found that by incorporating the suggestions in this book into our lives we are granted significant relief from our OCD. Those of us at OCA who are receiving professional help for OCD have found this program a welcome addition. The following are endorsements from professionals who feel that what OCA has to offer can prove beneficial to the OCD sufferer.
